It's official, we are one month away from all things football! Everyone has their own ritual on gameday. Whether it be getting ready with all of your girlfriends, cooking up some good eats, or gameday morning mimosas, there is something about waking up on the morning of a home game that I can't explain. There is an energy in the air outside stirred up by the faint sounds of music from the nearby campus and the smells of the overnight tailgaters cooking up their breakfast. It gives me goosebumps just to think about.
Believe it or not, a lot goes into a successful gameday. Here are just a few of my staples that help me last from morning to night!
1. Waterproof mascara. Raccoon eyes aren't cute and never will be. This one works pretty well for me!
That pink and green tube is a classic. And one of the only drugstore brands that does a good job with the waterproof formula. There are great high-end brands that have good waterproof mascara as well.
2. Coffee Filters?? Hear me out for a second. Coffee filters are made of essentially the same materials as blotting papers but cost so much less. Keep your makeup in tact for longer by stashing a few of these in your purse before you head out for tailgating.
3. Pedialyte Powder Packs. When its over 90 degrees and you're sweating and having a good time, you probably aren't hydrating like you should be. Mix one of these bad boys into a water bottle and make sure to drink it. You'll feel better during the game and the next morning, too.
The taste isn't too bad, and it's worth it to stay hydrated and healthy!
4. School Colors. Duh! In the past few years, people have shown their school spirit in more subtle ways. Here are a few examples to get you ready to cheer on those LSU Tigers!
Geaux forth and have an amazing tailgate season!
